A Talk by Professor Uwe Grodd: "Musik für Alle" – Music for Everyone

Why does classical music still thrive in Germany while arts funding is being slashed elsewhere? How can a country support both lavish large-scale productions and intimate chamber music at the highest level?

In this engaging talk, Professor Uwe Grodd explores the enduring strength of Germany’s classical music culture. Drawing on personal experiences—particularly from the renowned Handel Festival in Halle, the composer’s birthplace—he offers insights into how tradition, policy, and public support contribute to a vibrant musical landscape that remains accessible to all.
