The Auckland Goethe Society is proud to sponsor the German Drama Company's 2021 production “Sebastian erbt Millionen”.

Welcome to the 2021 season of the German Drama Company!

We are a student-run amateur theatre group operating out of the University of Auckland since 1977. Every year we present a play in the German language at the University of Auckland, bringing together members of the German speaking community for one week-long theatre season in early July. We are very proud and excited to present our 45th show:

Sebastian erbt Millionen (A Letter for Sebastian) by Charles Gérard.

Opa Sebastian receives a letter from New Zealand. One Anneliese Brown has written to him, reminding him of his youth. She wants to visit him. Only, when the letter arrives, Oma reads it first and is completely taken aback. She believes it to be from an old childhood sweetheart of her husband and wants to get a divorce. This letter causes great confusion in the family, until Anneliese Brown herself arrives to clear everything up.

You can buy tickets at the door or through Eventbrite. However, we do sell out shows, so it's best to buy tickets in advance so you don't miss out! For more information and to buy tickets online, click here!
