Film Evening: Berlin is in Germany

The Auckland Goethe Society invites you to a film screening of the 2001 award winning German drama, Berlin is in Germany on Thursday 8th September at 7-9pm. This event will be held in person at The University of Auckland Humanities Building 206, Room 315 (14A Symonds Street). The film will be in German with English subtitles and snacks will be provided. Please register via Eventbrite as spaces are limited.

Synopsis:
After more than eleven years in an East German prison, Martin Schulz is released. Life has changed dramatically - the Berlin Wall has been down for years, and there is only one Germany. Martin reconnects with his ex-wife and eleven-year-old son and gets a job at a video store with the help of his jail buddy Victor. Martin's life finally seems to be improving but his criminal record and Victor's shady dealings start causing him trouble.
